Burn out or Fade out?

Its better to burn out than fade out?

Kurt Donald Cobain (February 20, 1967 – c. April 5, 1994), was an American musician who served as lead singer, guitarist, and songwriter for the Seattle-based rock band Nirvana before committing suicide at his Seattle home in 1994.

BURN OUT!!!!!!!

Micheal Jackson was accused of child molestation in 1993, although the matter was settled out of court. Jackson then married twice and fathered three children; all of which caused further controversy. In 2005, Jackson was tried and later acquitted of further molestation allegations and several other charges. He has been the subject of long-term financial difficulties and health concerns.

fade out??

I guess the moral of the story that I want to bring is, should we stop while we are at the top of our game or shall we wait until we become redundant. It's not just about music, it happens everywhere, even to Prime Ministers and Presidents of the world.

I am not a politician so I will not mention any names here, but a lot of presidents that bring good for their country, in the end bring so much problem to the country. Should these people quit at the correct time and be remembered for the good that's done forever or do they want to dwell until all the people remember are the bad things that they did.

So I guess in a sort of twisted sense, it is better to burn out than fade out.
