A Malay Proverb

In the Malay language there is a proverb "Ketam mengajar anak berjalan lurus" which literally means "A crab teaching its son to walk straight".

A bit of lingo:
ketam(Malay) = crab(English) = krabbe(German)

Everyone knows that crab walk sideways, so this proverb means that the crab is trying to teach his son something that he himself never do.

How does this relate to real life? How many of you are told that you must be organized and follow schedule from someone higher up, just to be told of "last minute meetings" and so on.

Don't be a crab, it makes life crap.
